Broken Arrow Student Honored For Helping Save Dad's Life

A Broken Arrow high school student was honored at the district's Board of Education meeting for helping to save his father's life.

Three days after he turned 15, Braden Bruner heard his mom screaming for help because his dad was having a heart attack. Braden helped his mom perform CPR and when paramedics arrived he helped lift his dad so first responders could treat him.

"It was overwhelming, but I tried to just calm myself down and save his life and make sure he was going to be okay," Braden said.

Braden's father spent 8 days in the ICU but has since made a full recovery.
