Our teacher of the day is Judy Ingram.
Judy is a nationally certified sign language interpreter and works for Tulsa Public Schools at Edison Middle School.
She has been at Edison for about thirty years.
Judy is a child of deaf adults and her nominator says she learned how to sign before she learned how to talk, truly making sign language her first language.
Judy has been part of the Deaf worship team at First Baptist Tulsa and Asbury for many years.
She was also Tulsa Schools support employee of of the Year 2012 and received the Oklahoma Registry of Interpreters lifetime achievement award in 2017.
