2 In Custody After Police Chase, Crash Leaves Neighborhood Without Power

Two men are in custody Wednesday morning after leading police on a chase that ended in a police cruiser damaged and a neighborhood without power.

Tulsa police said around 1:18 a.m. this morning a call about a stolen flatbed and trailer near admiral and Harvard came in. Shortly after, an officer spotted the flatbed and trailer being followed by another pickup truck.

Officers pulled over the pickup truck that was being driven by Therman Wilson who was arrested for having an outstanding warrant, however the stolen flatbed truck involved continued driving.

The flatbed and trailer driven by Brian Lumpkin drove into a neighborhood on North Quebec Avenue, where he proceeded to crash into a Tulsa Police cruiser and an underground utility box, knocking out the power for the neighborhood.

Lumpkin ran off on foot through the neighborhood and was found shortly after by the TPD K-9 unit and taken into custody.

PSO crews are working to restore power to the North Quebec neighborhood.
