The City of Sapulpa is working on a plan to revitalize its downtown area and city leaders said they want to hear community input.
City leaders said they have spent several months hearing from business owners and surveying hundreds of residents about what they would like to see in the new revitalized Downton Sapulpa.
The plan is still a work in progress as city officials said they are trying to get more input from residents and city council members, but officials envisions a more walkable downtown with better parking, green space, open areas for the public and nightlife options.
Urban development director Nikki Howard said the plan should be finished within 8 to 10 months and said the goal is to bring more people to downtown Sapulpa, while keeping the small town vibe.
The city will host a public open house October 21st at 5:30 p.m. at SeneGence where people can come learn more about the plan.
