Rejoice Christian IT Director To Compete In 240-Mile Ultrarunning Competition

An Owasso school’s IT director will face a different kind of challenge – tackling wilderness terrains instead of technology troubles.

David Theriot, the IT Director at Rejoice Christian school, will compete in the Moab 240, a race of 240 miles that spans multiple terrains from desert to mountains.

Theriot is an ultrarunner, someone who competes in races of more than 50 miles. For reference, 240 miles is the equivalent of running from Tulsa to the Dallas area.

The Moab 240 will start Friday morning and Theriot said he hopes to complete the race in around 72 hours.

You can follow Theriot’s trek on the race athlete tracker here and follow bib number 38.
