11-Year-Old Oklahoma Cancer Patient & Family Surprised With Trip To Florida

A Green Country girl with a terminal illness and her family were gifted a free trip to Florida.

11-year-old Faith Cowherd was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer in 2019 and has an inoperable tumor.

She and her family will spend a week visiting every theme park in Orlando.

“I’m beyond excited. I’m just like, can’t speak, yay,” Faith said.

“We’ve never been as a family, so it’ll be the first time for all of us to go, so that’s going to be amazing,” mom Mindy Cowherd said. “It was worth keeping that secret to see her face before.”

Faith also rang the bell Wednesday, to celebrate one year after treatment.

The trip was organized by nonprofit Baking Memories for Kids. They accept donations at Panera Bread restaurants across Oklahoma and Missouri.
