Tulsa Air & Space Museum Gets Shuttle Cockpit Mock-up

The Tulsa Air and Space Museum is adding another exhibit to its collection, thanks to a museum in Oklahoma City.

After spending several years at the Science Museum of Oklahoma, a shuttle cockpit mock-up has a new home in Tulsa.

The staff plans to work with a designer to add monitors and a simulator so visitors can see what it would be like to land a shuttle.

“With the technology and the different interactives that are out there now, whether its augmented reality, virtual reality, or simulators, we’re going to integrate these different components into it,” Tonya Blansett with the Air & Space Museum said.

The museum said the exhibit will be open to visitors in about four to six months.
