People across Green Country took time weekend to honor and remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom over the weekend.

At the Okmulgee Cemetery, volunteers worked to place an American flag at every veterans headstone. There are more than 2,500 veterans buried there.

The local American Legion Post, Elks Lodge, Boy Scouts and others also volunteered their time.
