High School Students Learn About Aviation During Spartan College 'AERO Day'

Hundreds of high schoolers and others interested in the aviation industry got to learn what it's like to become a pilot or work on planes.

Spartan College's annual "AERO Day" is an open house on its campus to share with the public its classes and training.

American Airlines was also there to present its company and partnership with Spartan.

"They get to see a presentation of our program, walk around, tour the campus, actually get into one of our aircraft, kind of see what we're all about here at Spartan, about our programs and what we offer," said Jeremy Cooper with Spartan College of Aeronautics.

Spartan says more high school students are becoming interested in vocational education after high school compared to four year degrees.
