A former Creek County deputy was arrested and accused of child pornography possession on Tuesday, authorities say.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said agents arrested Ryan Matthew Matthias, 48, for having several files of obscene images of children online. The OSBI said it received a cyber tip from Sapulpa Police on Sept. 12, 2024, and they searched Matthias' home with a warrant on Tuesday with Sapulpa Police and Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Police.
Several digital devices were recovered, the OSBI reports. He was booked into the Creek County jail.
Authorities said he worked as an instructor at Central Technology Center, a vocational school in Sapulpa.
