Jury Recommends Life Without Parole In Hogtie Death Of Tulsa Teen

A Tulsa man was found guilty of first-degree murder and kidnapping in the death of a Tulsa teen. A jury recommended Tracy Price of Mannford be sentenced to life without parole in the death of Anthony Pietrzak.

Pietrzak, 18, had been missing for a week before officials found his body. Three people were arrested in connection to the murder.

Investigators say that Tracy Price, Dearld Peal and Wesley White worked together to kidnap Pietrzak, bind him and beat him up. Officials say the boy was left in a field to die.

The District Attorney's Office said the medical examiner revealed in the trial that Pietrzak died as a result of "hours-long self-strangulation" after being hogtied. His hands and feet were tied together and another rope was wrapped around his neck and tied to his feet, a news release states.

"The tortuous death of this victim was gruesome," said Prosecutor Julie Doss.

"The body of Mr. Pietrzak was not found until six days after his death, by which time his body had decomposed considerably. Still, medical personnel were able to determine that Mr. Pietrzak suffered a great deal prior to his eventual death.

"It is gratifying to know that Mr. Price will never see the light of day again. I am grateful to the jury for their careful consideration of this case."

Pietrzak was dating Dearld Peal's daughter, investigators said.
