Police have identified the man killed when a driver drove into three homeless people early Monday; police believe it was deliberate.

The man is identified as 46-year-old Shawn Birdo.

Police say Birdo was asleep on a sidewalk under an I-244 bridge on North Cheyenne when he was run over and killed by the driver of a  white, mid-size, Toyota or Nissan truck.

The other two people next to Birdo were injured.

Later in the day, Monday, police say a woman was struck on the sidewalk behind the QuikTrip at 15th and Denver.

Police say it appears the same driver was involved in this incident as well.
