The Oklahoma National Guard announced they will send about 400 soldiers and airmen to Washington, D.C. next week to support the 59th presidential inauguration.
The guardsmen will head to D.C. later this week and be stationed there for seven to 10 days.
"The men and women of the Oklahoma National Guard who will be supporting the inauguration are the same Guardsmen who have been there time and time again for Oklahoma communities,” said Maj. Gen. Michael Thompson, adjutant general for Oklahoma.
