A man was hit and killed by a minivan early on Tuesday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP said 40-year-old Jahmar Shaw exited his vehicle shortly after midnight to retrieve something from the road along I-244 near Harvard Avenue.

Troopers said he was struck by a minivan traveling eastbound. Nobody else was hurt, and the woman driving the van was questioned at the scene and then released. The road was closed for around an hour before it was reopened.

The crash is still under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
